In collaboration with Astro Vanavil, Ganesh Travel launched the Astro Valentine
Honeymoon Contest back in 2002. This contest selects 3 newly married couples
from Malaysia for a tour of pre-selected destinations in the Indian Sub-continent.
This is a fully sponsored 8 days Tour programme for the couples.
The contest runs in Feb-Mar where lists of 10 songs are played on air and
applicants are invited to list them in order of their preference. Three
lucky couples are selected and they join the tour with Astro Camera crew
to be shot on screen. They become actors in their own right and are aired
on television during Deepavali.
Ganesh Travel sponsored event of Astro Valentine Contest is now an annual
event successfully completing the 5th year of the contest.
Objectives of the Contest
- To promote interest amongst the Indian community
on Tourism to the Indian sub-continent.
- To give feast to the eyes for Astro Vanavil viewers
to see the beauty, life style, and appreciate the attractive tourist
spots in the sub-continent through the telecasting of the Tour programme.
- To encourage the young Indian community to appreciate
their origin, make efforts to track their roots and possibly preserve
the rich culture in years to come.
